Making this space warmer without sacraficing the estetics. We masked the beams of this attic to keep its old time charm. By adding spray foam and the advanced insulation properties form and function co-exist.

Attics are known to be one of the greatest sources for heat and cooling loss in your home. The good news is when they are properly insulated you can save money on your energy bills and achieve a higher comfort level throughout your entire home!  Be sure to consider insulation with the proper R-value appropriate for your home's climate.  This homeowner decided that he was going to take charge of his heating bills and insulate his attic space with spray foam.

Weatherizing a Seasonal Space. It takes experience to get the feel of applying spray foam, especially two-part foam. With their different expansion rates and other qualities, they prove difficult for someone without experience to get the most of this material. For example, a high-expanding foam will damage a door or window jamb, but our training and experience can prevent this from happening. This is an example of a crew member expertly spraying foam onto this homeowner's walls.

Adams Lane in Ogunquit
Hello. I have a 1300 sf ranch kind of in the woods. The insulation in the attic is a sprayed cellulose. I have had the house treated for insects, mice, chipmunks, squirrels up there over the years. I would like to remove the old cellulose and any critter refuse, check for mold while I'm at it, check for any energy inefficiencies, and then respray cellulose to insulate. The ranch is on a slightly sloping hill and I have a daylight walk out basement. The ceiling is open and I am thinking of having radiant heat put in for the flooring upstairs. You can hear creaking from the wood floors upstairs in several spots. I saw your video on spraying a sound proofing barrier and am interested in discussing that too. Thank you. Jelka
